Beaujolais Wine Map

Home of France’s iconic Beaujolais Nouveau wine. Adjacent to larger and more “prestigious” northern and southern wine regions, Beaujolais is not to be overlooked. Not only are its northern “cru” wines on par with Bourgogne’s Mâconnais, the beautiful landscapes and charming wine villages of its southern Pierres Dorées (Golden Stones) region are often compared to Tuscany and a must see for any visit to Beaujolais and neighboring Lyon.

A wall map of the Beaujolais wine region in France. The map depicts all of the delimited wine appellations/Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC), including all 10 “crus” of northern Beaujolais. The map includes the principal black and white grape varieties of the region, and the authorized wine type for every AOC.

All base map information is originally digitized from satellite imagery. Map includes digital shaded relief. All wine-related content is derived from official national sources and regional wine associations.
