Portugal Wine Map

Popularly known for fortified Port wine, Portugal should not be overlooked as the source of excellent quality red and white wines in a variety of styles. With a wine tradition that dates back thousands of years, Portugal cultivates quality wine grapes amidst terroirs – such as the Douro Valley – not found anywhere else in the world. This wine map of Portugal is the most comprehensive available and a must for any wine lover or enthusiast wanting to know more about Portuguese wine.

A wall map of the wine regions of Portugal. The map depicts all of Portugal’s delimited wine appellations/Protected Designations of Origin (PDOs), including the Douro’s three sub-zones. The map also features definitions of Portugal’s wine classifications, and descriptions of nearly 30 of Portugal’s most promising black and white grape varieties. Two insets depict the wine appellations of the Azores and Madeira.

All base map information is originally digitized from satellite imagery. All wine-related content is derived from official national sources.
