Alsace Wine Map

The premier white wine region in the world! If you’re a white wine connoisseur or just enjoy white wines, Alsace is the wine region to know. A blend of French and German cultures shaped by a unique history, and bounded by the Vosges mountains and Rhine river, Alsace ranks as among the most idyllic of France’s wine regions.

This wall map of the Alsace wine region in France depicts all of the delimited wine appellations/Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC), including all of the Grand Cru lieux-dits (localities) and the two regional AOCs for sparkling crémant and Pinot Noir-based still red and rosé wine styles.

The map includes the principal black and white grape varieties for the region and identifies the region's "noble" grapes. The authorized wine type for every AOC is also included. An inset provides greater detail of the Grand Crus in the Haut-Rhin around Colmar.

All base map information is originally digitized from satellite imagery. Map includes digital shaded relief. All wine-related content is derived from official national sources and regional wine associations.
